This course was undertaken as part of the Leading and Embedding Technology-Enhanced Learning CPD award of SEDA.
Although I have worked with Blackboard (at UoR) and extensively worked on Moodle (at UCEM) and have had some basic training on Canvas, I felt I needed to experience more with the VLE.
When I joined UoW, I felt I needed to re-familiarise myself with Canvas to provide better support on the programme that I worked on. I therefore registered on this course and had the opportunity to meet other keen advocates of learning technologies at UoW.
As part of this course, I set up a VLE space for local and TNE students to have a single and common space to share learning notes. I wrote about this in the first report to the EU and the reasons why a joint space was useful for TNE students. This was highly commended by DG EAC which had funded several millions in the programme I was employed on.
